Dynamic Adaptation for High-Performance Data Transfers

Abstract

Characteristics of the communication infrastructure determine which action should be taken when tuning data transfer operations in order to obtain high transfer rates. Local area networks and wide area networks have different characteristics, so they demonstrate diverse features in terms of congestion, failure rate, and latency. In most cases, congestion is not a
