Dynamic analysis of an impact load applied to the composite wall structure

Abstract: Abstract. In presented paper the composite wall structure made of concrete and Zahorski/Mooney Rivlin rubber cross pads subjected to impact loads was investigated. Mentioned rubber cross pads were assumed to be inserted or injected in specially formed holes during the production process. Moreover, two different impact loads were taken into further considerations -pressure and concentrated force. Such impact loads due to the small time step size allowed observation of mechanical wave propagation in analyzed str… Show more

“…The popularity of the FEM method is gradually increasing due to its important advantages [7,8]. Expensive experimental tests can be replaced with the FEM analysis [9][10][11][12][13][14][15], which is less time-consuming while the overall costs of 6 Deformed spider with T-shape arm cross-section numerical model with 300 times magnification factor. Z-axis displacement plot such analyses are much lower.…”

“…The main advantage of numerical studies is the possibility of performing the analysis lowering the costs and reducing the time necessary for preparing the real specimens and carry out experimental tests. Numerical studies regarding to reduction of mechanical wave energy transfer in hollow wall blocks, in which rubber was injected/inserted in the hollows may be found in [14][15][16]. Presented in papers results show that the energy in the form of Misses-Hencky Stress (MHS) at the same point located on the opposite block surface in regard to the point of applied exciting force may be significantly reduced via rubber injects/inserts.…”
