Abstract

This report represents work performed at the Hanford Engineering Development Laboratory operated by Westinghouse Hanford Company, a siibsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Corporation, for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, under Department of Energy Contract No. DE-x:i4-76FF02170. It describes technical progress made during the reporting period by Westinghouse Hanford Company and supportii^ contractors. FurKtions were developed to characterize the behavior of rail cars and their draft gears when the draft gears bottom out.
