Abstract:An experimental investigation was conducted on aluminum alloy mortise-and-tenon T-joints (MT-joints) under dynamic cyclic loading. The MT-joints strengths, stiffness, failure characteristics, hysteresis curves, skeleton curves, restoring force models and energy dissipation curves of the joints have been reported. It’s shown from the experiment that main failure modes of the MT-joints are plastic deformation of squeezing area and tenon divorced from joint. And MT-joints structure is a typical semi-rigid connect… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
