Dynamic Pricing Control for Constrained Distribution Networks With Storage

Abstract: This paper studies the problem of optimal flow control in dynamic inventory systems. A dynamic optimal distribution problem, including time-varying supply and demand, capacity constraints on the transportation lines, and convex flow cost functions of Legendre-type, is formalized and solved. The time-varying optimal flow is characterized in terms of the time-varying dual variables of a corresponding network optimization problem. A dynamic feedback controller is proposed that regulates the flows asymptotically t… Show more

If we define A WD OE0 1I 1 0, B WD OE0I 1, C WD OE0 1, and .y i / WD .x 3 i;2 =3 x i;2 /, then (18) is of the form (16) and satisfies all the required properties with P D I 2 . Thus, the Van der Pol oscillator (18) is iOFP and satisfies the ISS property given in (15).…”

“…In fact, given the increasing amount of available data and the speed at which markets operate, feedback control is starting to play an increasingly important role in the setting of dynamic pricing. Adaptive pricing has applications in smart grids, intelligent transportation networks, and data allocation in networks . In all these applications, a common feature is the absence of a precise mathematical model, which makes learning tools necessary to generate an optimal pricing.…”
