Dynamic Response of Angle Ply Laminates with Uncertainties Using MARS, ANN-PSO, GPR and ANFIS

Abstract: In the present work, for the first time, free vibration response of angle ply laminates with uncertainties is attempted using Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS), Artificial Neural Network-Particle Swarm Optimization (ANN-PSO), Gaussian Process Regression (GPR), and Adaptive Network Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The present approach employed 2D C0 stochastic finite element (FE) model based on the Third Order Shear Deformation Theory (TSDT) in conjunction with MARS, ANN-PSO, GPR, and ANFIS. The TSD… Show more

“…The PSO, presented by Eberhart and Kennedy in 1995, is a heuristic and evolutionary algorithm inspired by the behavior of birds to locate desirable positions in a given area through cooperation and competition [ 11 ]. Some entities, called particles, are scattered in the search space in the PSO [ 12 ]. The position of each particle represents a possible solution, and each solution is the way that in the search of a position in a space, particles change the flying distance and directions via changing the speed [ 13 , 14 ].…”

“…The third is the winding-angle method. The results obtained by this method have nothing to do with the form of the composite material layer, but have a greater relationship with the orientation of the fibers [40]. The third method is similar to the production technique for axisymmetric parts made of composite materials [41,42].…”

“…However, there are many examples of it being used in structural dynamics research. Few studies have examined the free vibration response of angle ply laminates ,, or the effects of dimensions like length, thickness, and breadth on the dynamic response of single- and multistepped beams. , Sahin and Shenoi described ANN as the most efficient method for vibration data analysis for the severity of damage and location detection on the cantilever beam. Simulate neural networks has predicated the one hidden layer are describe on MATLAB2019 using a neural network toolbox.…”
