Dynamic response of NiFe bilayered strip thin films

Abstract

The permeability of very thin bilayered NiFe strips film were studied in terms of their dynamics response of magnetization. Since the change in permeabTty with strip width was caused by the change in magnetization state, Scanning Kerr rotation observation in such films have been also studied. The maximum permeability was obtained at a certain strip width when the magnetization process changed from the multi-domain to the single-domain behavior with decreasing the strip width. Relationships between the dynamics and static-state magnetic properties are also discussed.
