Dynamic Simulation of a Pneumatic Transport Plant Powered by PV Panels and Equipped with Electro-Chemical Storage

Abstract: This paper focuses on an industrial application where renewable power produced by photovoltaic panels is exploited to feed a pneumatic transport plant. The proposed system requires the careful management of the energy flows involved since it includes the interaction with the electric grid and with an electrochemical storage (battery) rather than the correct choice of the photovoltaic panel and battery itself. A dedicated control system needs to be developed in order to accord together these energetic flows, al… Show more

“…The article is not exhaustive, but it is a good start. Comparative analyses between different countries on the progress of decarbonization in road transport or attempts to construct simulation models using other, more advanced tools such as Matlab/Simulink [33][34][35][36][37] would be worth considering. It therefore seems necessary to continue research as part of subsequent research projects because such in-depth analyses will allow for confirmation or refutation of the theses presented in this article and possibly improve the tools used.…”

“…This requires additional research to determine the parameters of the controller that allow maintaining the air pressure in the under-mask space of a motorised respirator within acceptable limits (50-370 Pa), which will ensure the comfort of using a motorised respirator (Teng et al, 2023). Preventing excessive fluctuations in the controlling variable also helps to reduce the wear and breakage of system elements, which can occur due to constant loads and instability in operation (Diekman et al, 2017;Damiani et al, 2023). This can significantly reduce the time and cost of equipment maintenance and repair, and ensure smooth and efficient operation of the system for a long time.…”
