Abstract:We describe an enabling technology for spectrum management in wireless dynamic spectrum access (DSA) networks. The technology is based on an open architecture and protocols developed for optical networks, and deployed in an all-optical testbed that supports dynamic wavelength (i.e., optical spectrum) provisioning. We summarize the basic requirements for spectrum management in commercial-sector wireless DSA networks, and briefly describe a candidate architecture vis-à-vis its signaling protocols, message structu… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
