Dynamic-symmetry-breaking breathing and spreading transitions in ferromagnetic film irradiated by spherical electromagnetic wave

Abstract: The dynamical responses of a ferromagnetic film to a propagating spherical electromagnetic wave passing through it are studied by Monte Carlo simulation of two dimensional Ising ferromagnet. For a fixed set of values of the frequency and wavelength of the spherical EM wave, and depending on the values of amplitude of the EM wave and temperature of the system, three different modes are identified. The static pinned mode, the localised dynamical breathing mode and extended dynamical spreading mode are observed. … Show more

“…It is clear that these microscopic behaviors sensitively depend on the studied system parameters. We should note that these types of coherent propagations of spin bands and also spin-frozen phases have been recently observed in bulk materials under the existence of a propagating magnetic field [21][22][23].…”

“…However, a decrement in the value of temperature leads to the occurrence of spinfrozen or spin pinned phase. This phase generally occurs at the relatively lower temperature regions, as in the case of the conventional bulk systems under the influence of a propagating magnetic field [21][22][23].…”

“…In the case of standing magnetic wave [9], standing spin band modes (in the high temperature) are observed. The similar studies are performed with standing magnetic wave [10] in random field Ising ferromagnet and the exact mathematical form of the phase boundary is found, the breathing and spreading transitions are found in Ising ferromagnet driven by spherical magnetic wave [11], the dynamic transitions are studied in Blume-Capel model [12] driven by propagating and standing magnetic wave. The nonequilibrium multiple phase transition was observed [13] in Ising metamagnet driven by propagating magnetic field wave.…”

“…Recently the propagation of spin clusters and existence of various dynamic phases are observed [17] in random field Ising ferromagnet. In normal ferromagnet, the propagation of circular spin waves are observed [18] in Ising ferromagnet and multiple nonequilibrium phase transitions are found. The importance of all these studies mentioned above is not merely pedagogical.…”
