Dynamics of the Chiral‐Homeotropic Liquid Crystal Displays

Abstract

The dynamic response of the chiral‐homeotropic liquid crystal cell has been investigated. The well‐known optical bounce which was originally found in the TN cell also appears in the chiral‐homeotropic cell. We have examined this bounce phenomenon both in experiments and performing computer simulations.
