Dynamics performance of the wind-power supply chain with transmission capacity constraints

Abstract: Previous studies have shown that poor performance of energy supply chains arises from incorrectly interpret feedback information and time delays between decisions and actions in energy policy. This paper assesses alternatives to improve performance of wind-power supply chain with transmission constraints that contribute to enhance response capacity of the wind industry to changes of energy policy. In order to test these alternatives, this paper used a simulation model with system dynamics (SD), taking as case … Show more

“…Hence the decision-makers should include collaboration agreements to promote R&D activities aimed at joint decision-making along the SC. In this sense, previous studies have agreed on the importance of information sharing and collaboration; for example, for the design of processes and products (Ataseven and Nair, 2017; Chang et al , 2016; Herrera et al , 2020a, b).…”

“…The product development and commercialisation process team must coordinate with the customer relationship management process to identify the customer's articulated and unarticulated needs in order to achieve innovative products (Ataseven and Nair, 2017; Lambert and Enz, 2017). In this sense, the implementation of innovative practices can affect SC flows and its structure (Sabri et al , 2018; Zimmermann et al , 2016), as well as its dynamic performance (Asif et al , 2012; Herrera et al , 2020a, b; Orjuela and Adarme, 2017). Currently, SCs face new challenges and opportunities with the introduction of technological innovations, which require a performance management perspective.…”
