“…The health damage caused by nitrosamines in humans has received attention globally (Luo et al, 2020). Nitrosamines caused the potential toxicological effects of cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, developmental toxicity, and neurobehavioral toxicity (Zhang, Zhao, et al, 2021). Therefore, nitrosamines, especially NDMA, were regulated in drinking water by several countries and regions, including Ontario (9 ng/L), Massachusetts (10 ng/L), California (10 ng/L), Canada (40 ng/L), the Netherlands (12 ng/L), WHO (100 ng/L), and Australia (100 ng/L) (Drinkwaterbesluit, n.d.).…”

“…LPS has been demonstrated to cause NLRP3‐caspase‐1 pathway pyroptosis in bronchial epithelial cells through the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome‐mediated pyroptosis in cardiomyocytes along with increased positive PI staining and LDH release (Qiu et al, 2019). Cigarette smoke caused NLRP3‐caspase‐1 pathway pyroptosis, cell membrane pore formation, and increased LDH release in bronchial epithelial cells (Zhang, Zhao, et al, 2021). High glucose could mediate pyroptosis via NLRP3‐Caspase‐1‐GSDMD pathway, which ultimately led to pericyte damage in the retina (Gan et al, 2020).…”
