Abstract: Phoenix sylvestris Roxb, commonly known as date sugar palm or wild date palm, grows naturally in the tropics and subtropics of the Indian subcontinent. The present study was aimed for phytochemical evaluation and to develop the high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) fingerprint profile of methanolic extract of P. sylvestris at two ripening stages.
