“…Mason and Irwin reconstructed the pieces of the projectile points and identified them as two Great Plains types, Eden and Scottsbluff. All of the projectile point bases recorded indicate that these were corner-notched forms and, in light of more recent research, may be associated with the Mississippi Valley Hardin point type (Munson, 1967;Luchterhand, 1970;Stoltman et al, 1984). Hardin points are found down the Mississippi River from Wisconsin well into the lower valley in eastern Arkansas and northern Mississippi.…”
