Abstract: AVNeo is suitable for patients with AS considering its early and mid-term outcomes. Verification of long-term outcomes and reliability is necessary.

“…This is in line with recently published first data from the United Kingdom (UK) with peak and mean transvalvular gradients of 16 ± 3.7 and 9 ± 2.2 mmHg after 12.5 months [13•]. In patients with isolated aortic stenosis, Iida and colleagues report a mean peak pressure gradient of 22 ± 10.7 mmHg one week after the procedure and 19.2 ± 9.7 mmHg after 20 months [8]. In our cohort, after median 21 months of followup, median (IQR) mean and peak gradients were 6 (5,9) mmHg and 12 (8, 17) mmHg, respectively; these results are similar to recently published data from a US center [12].…”

“…(8) Similar results were reported by several other centres suggesting this procedure are reproducible across different centres and surgical teams. (9)(10)(11) Krane et al demonstrated the effectiveness of this technique in a younger population and compared the haemodynamic performance with virtually implanted Trifecta Bioprostheses. They reported a significantly lower mean pressure gradient as well as a higher mean effective orifice area in AV Neo.…”
