Abstract:Acute Salmonella typhi prosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a rare event. In Endemic areas one needs to be cautious if the patient is immunocompromised. We report a case of bilateral simultaneous PJI of the knee in a 60-year-old lady who was not immunocompromised. The patient presented on Post op Day 5 with Fever and local signs suggestive of infection.
