Abstract:Background: The decline in exclusive breastfeeding coverage of 32% in 2018 needs concern from all sectors. The practice of early initiation breastfeeding (EIBF) needs to be increased because it is associated with the success of exclusive breastfeeding. EIBF rate in Tangerang City in 2020 is 30,6% far below the 2018 national rate (58,2%), even though EIBF can prevent infant mortality by 22% .
