Early medication discontinuation in first episode schizophrenia – beneficial or risky?

Abstract: Summary Background: After acute treatment of a first episode in schizophrenia, continued antipsychotic maintenance treatment (MT) is effective regarding (positive) symptom remission and relapse prevention.
