Abstract: Background: Diabetes is chronic endocrine/metabolic disease with heterogeneous etiologies, clinical presentations and associated complications.Its biochemical hallmark is hyperglycemia (American Diabetes Association., 2019)caused mainly by insulin deficiency and/or insulin resistance.
