Abstract

An investigation of the Diagnostic Chem istry building at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in Livermore, California was conducted to evaluate its ability to with stand the most critical of several postu lated design-basis earthquakes for the Laboratory site. The methods of analysis used and the results obtained are discussed. Also presented are a detailed description of the building; brief discussions of site ating complex and related support activi ties such as a waste disposal, used box storage, reagent preparation, manipulator repair, and air lock.
