East Asian English learners crossing Outer and Inner Circle boundaries

Abstract: Drawing upon world Englishes theory and research, in particular, studies that re‐examine Kachru's Three Circles model, the present study addresses Japanese English learners’ sojourn experiences in the ASEAN Outer Circle and/or the Western Inner Circle nations.
