Eco-friendly application of EVs for home-to-work and home-to-education transports

Abstract: Electric vehicles (EVs) today in general are operated with energy from the electric grid. So energy for the EVs is basically available at almost each place on the world. If the energy for the grids however is produced to a big extent from fossil fuels the EVs are not much more eco-friendly than conventional cars. In this paper a field of application is investigated where EVs can be operated very eco-friendly by renewable energy. EVs which are used mainly for home-to-work and home-to-education transports can be… Show more

“…And yet, the safety systems that such sensors enable could have an important impact, due to the high number of tilting vehicles in the fleets at global level [ 7 , 8 , 9 ]. Current mobility trends are in favor of the usage of tilting vehicles [ 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 ], partially thanks to their potential for: electrification, recyclability and air-quality improvement [ 15 , 16 , 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ]. However, tilting vehicles are characterized by a high injury risk for their users, warranting the implementation of new and more effective safety technologies.…”
