The article deals with the analysis of environmental problems from the point of view of aspects of publicistic creativity. In the modern period, the issues of preserving life on the planet have become a priority in the list of global world problems, as society stands on the verge of an environmental crisis. Environmental problems are interdisciplinary, but they are based on a sociocultural nature. The mass media and publicists are charged with the task of interpretation of the aspects of interaction between nature and society, the transformation of people's worldview in the aspect of the formation and development of ecological consciousness. Journalism and literature are able to form new meanings and new society's understanding of the importance of restoring harmony in the relationship “Human - Nature”. The problem of environmental journalism is considered on the examples of works of the Kyrgyz authors: Ch. Aitmatov, M. Murataliev, K. Akmatova, A. Tokombayev. The presented material let us conclude that the problem of environmental journalism gains a new meaning in today's society and requires renewal of the scientific definition, which determines the scientific value of this article. The practical importance lies in the possibility of implementing the research results in the process of teaching at the faculties of journalism and philology in specialized and elective disciplines, as well as in the practice of mass media specializing in environmental themes.

The article reveals the main approaches to understanding the essence of ecological culture, as well as its basic components: cognitive, value and activity. The article focuses on the fact that pro-ecological behaviorur is a leading indicator of ecological culture. It is noted that a society can have a sufficiently high level of environmental knowledge and correct values, but in the absence of pro-environmental behaviorur, we cannot speak about the proper level of environmental culture. Attention is focused on the difficulties of empirical study of the real state of the components of ecological culture. The definition of the term "digital footprint" is given. The possibility and expediency of studying the ecological attitudes of the population as the most mobile element of ecological culture using the analysis of statistics of search queries is shown. The purpose of the study is to identify the ecological attitudes of the inhabitants of the Sverdlovsk region and approbation of the methodology for analyzing statistics of search queries of the population on environmental topics, recorded by the Yandex search engine. The study was carried out within the framework of a quantitative approach. To collect empirical information, a continuous collection of search queries from the population of the Sverdlovsk region was carried out from 2010 to 2019 inclusive. The technique of collection, processing and analysis of search queries of the population is described. The analysis made it possible to identify a number of significant pro-ecological attitudes of the population, for example, for a significant part of the population of the Sverdlovsk region it is important to know and apply technologies for waste disposal, to know the state of air and water in the place of residence, as well as technologies for checking and cleaning them. It was found that children and adolescents are more interested in information about various kinds of environmental pollution, and young people and people of the middle age group are more interested in means and technologies for waste disposal and cleaning of natural resources. In general, the results of the study showed that search query data can serve as a source of up-to-date information on the ecological attitudes of the region's population. The advantages and disadvantages of the analysis of search queries as an empirical research method are shown.

The aim of the research is to outline and interpret through comparative analysis the importance and possibilities of development of the experience in ecological education gained through theoretical and practical research in psychology and pedagogy in Russia and abroad and actualized at different stages of permanent education, primarily in higher education, for sustainable development of civilization. In connection with this, the article describes the ideas of sustainable development of civilization in the context of contemporary ecological education and conducts a descriptive overview. The research also examines the aspects of application of the ideas of sustainable development of civilization in the system of ecological education in Russia (from the tradition of ecologizing knowledge to the new technologies of ecological development). Finally, the article outlines and characterizes international trends of pedagogical (primarily, digital) technologies of ecological education for the purpose of applying ideas of sustainable development of civilization. The scientific originality of the research consists in particular results of theoretical and practical analysis of relevant theoretical and practical researches, which clarify the expected outcomes of realizing the concept of sustainable development through digital education technologies that are being implemented today in higher education in Russia and abroad. The results show that the most important outcome of realizing ideas of sustainable development of civilization today should lie in the students’ understanding of the role of ecological culture (ecological value orientations, world outlook, competences, behavior) in solving and preventing already global ecological problems.
