Abstract:The results of gas chromatographic control of the content of phenol and its derivatives in the surface waters of the Volga River basin are presented. The assessment of the water quality of the studied reservoir by categories of pollution at different times of the year was carried out. The results of environmental monitoring of the surface waters of the Volga River basin, taking into account the transformation of phenols into more toxic compounds, are discussed.
