Ecological well-being of water sources as a factor of an industrial city sustainable development

Abstract: In this article a “well-being” degree of the water supply source of a major industrial center (Chelyabinsk, Russia) is determined in compliance with criteria of the sustainable development goal 6 “Clean water and sanitation” (SDG 6). “…В Европе и США наиболее распространенным методом оценки различных поверхностных вод является water quality indices (WQIs), расчет которого основан на использовании таких показателей, как температура, рН, мутность, взвешенные вещества,  SCIENTIFIC REVIEW № 1, 2023   BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES  концентрация фосфатов, нитратов, растворенного кислорода, БПК5, фекальных колиформ, и его различные модификации [4]. Согласно цели устойчивого развития по питьевой воде и санитарии, общее качество воды оценивается на основе базового набора из пяти параметров по поверхностным водоемам: содержание в воде растворенного кислорода, электропроводность (минерализация), содержание азота, содержание фосфора и рН, которые определяют доброкачественность водного объекта [5]. Для характеристики процессов эвтрофирования и антропогенного загрязнения широко применяется индекс трофического статуса (trophic status indices TSIs) и индекс тяжелых металлов (heavy metal indices HMIs) [6].…”
