“…The rough bent‐toed gecko, Cyrtopodion scabrum (Heyden, 1827), is a small lizard that inhabits dry climates and desert ecotypes. The current range extends from Ethiopia and Eritrea (Largen & Spawls, 2010), through Sudan and Egypt (Baha El Din, 2006; Stocking & Jones, 2017) along the western coastal regions of the Red Sea and the Desert of Sinai (Ibrahim, 2013; Milto, 2017). The species also ranges from Palestine, south‐western and north‐eastern Jordan, eastern Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, north‐western, northern and eastern Saudi Arabia, south‐western Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar, northern United Arab Emirates, eastern and southern Oman, eastwards to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India (Khan, 2005; Werner et al, 2010; Venugopal, 2010; Masroor, 2012; Cogălniceanu et al., 2014; Stocking & Jones, 2017).…”
