Economic-Financial Issues and Climate Change

Abstract

The situation in which the interaction of economic-financial and social structure with the environment is not evaluated as a whole causes present and future generations not to benefit equally from the opportunities brought by development. For this reason, it is very important for policy development to determine the relationship between climate change and economic-financial issues by considering the issue of climate change from a sustainable development perspective. Identifying which economic-financial events fuel climate change will help policymakers to develop measures and solutions in that area. For this purpose, in this study, considering the availability of the data set, estimations were made based on panel quantile regression for the countries in the World Bank database. Thus, with a new econometric method, the causes of climate change have been revealed from an economic and financial framework for the countries that make up each quantile.
