Abstract:In engineering, truss structures are used extensively in bridge, tower, building, and numerous mechanical applications. Several studies have found that truss frames use the least steel weight when compared to other structural systems. The majority of truss frame design optimization research concentrated primarily on minimal weight design, and constructability, ease of fabrication, steel wastes, and the ideal geometric design parameter were not considered during the design optimization. Since the acceptable val… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
