Economics-inspired decentralized control approach for adaptive grid services and applications

Abstract: Grid technologies facilitate innovative applications among dynamic virtual organizations, while the ability to deploy, manage, and properly remain functioning via traditional approaches has been exceeded by the complexity of the next generation of grid systems. An important method for addressing this challenge may require nature-inspired computing paradigms. This technique will entail construction of a bottom-up multiagent system; however, the appropriate implementation mechanism is under consideration in orde… Show more

“…The method proposed in this paper can offer real-time and effective decisions to improve the operational efficiency of a logistics system. We shall make efforts in our future work to use ecosystem-inspired mechanisms [15]- [16] to improve the flexibility of the optimization method presented in this paper. The combined method can also be applied to broader areas, such as constrained mixed-variable optimization problems [17].…”

“…From the experimental results, we can see that the performance of NEI-NN is satisfactory. The exploration in biology and ecology always "casually" results in the emergence of some innovative engineering systems, methodologies and algorithms [16,17]. Artificial neural networks are known as such an example.…”
