Ocular Management of Harlequin Syndrome

“…Surgical management of the ectropion has been reported in other forms of ichthyosis (collodian syndrome) but not in harlequin syndrome. 3,4 At birth, the skin of the infant with harlequin icthyosis is covered with a horny carapace, making it unsuitable for skin grafting. During infancy, there is a spontaneous improvement of the skin with reduction in the severity of the ectropion.…”
