Abstract

CO 2 reduction to value-added products has provided a promising solution for alleviating global warming and energy crisis. [1] With the rapid development of different catalytic ways including thermal catalytic, electrocatalytic, photocatalytic, photothermal catalytic CO 2 reduction, various fuels and chemicals from C 1 to multi-carbon products have been generated over a variety of catalysts. [2,3] Regarding the activity and selectivity of a catalyst for CO 2 reduction, surface and interface engineering plays an important role since it is critical to the adsorption and activation of CO 2 as well as the formation of a certain reaction intermediate and product. [4][5][6] In view of this, we are greatly honored to assemble a special collection of the latest studies on surface and interface engineering towards efficient CO 2 reduction.
