“…In consensus with our state's Coordinator of Head Start programs, there is reason to recommend enhanced family programming and services that include relationship education for parents in Head Start as a means for promoting interparental relationships, enhancing positive parenting practices, and promoting children's prosocial behaviors in the classroom as they enter kindergarten. We join other scholars (Lebow, 2015) in encouraging support for continued efforts to assess experiences in RME in detail so as to uncover the elements of the program design and participant characteristics that best explain positive results. This research can inform the development of models of best practices for diverse populations of RME participants.…”

“…The MAS potentially could be scored in available data sets to test new hypotheses about dyadic discord's bidirectional relations with the onset and treatment of a variety of illnesses. Especially because funding of couple research has been limited recently (Lebow, 2015), using the MAS may provide an efficient means to continue and expand research on marital adjustment and dyadic discord.
