Editorial: group‐based hypnotherapy as good as individually delivered hypnotherapy for symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome

Abstract: Gut-directed hypnotherapy has been used to treat disorders of gut-brain interaction, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), for nearly 40 years. 1 In fact, among various psychological therapies, gut-directed hypnotherapy appears one of the most efficacious for symptoms of IBS (RR 0.67; 95% CI 0.49-0.91, P score 0.57).
