Enquanto a administração da SRL não provoca desequilíbrios eletrolíticos e ácido-base iatrogênicos (Cosenza et al, 2013), justamente por ser balanceada, a administração da solução L84 determina redução da cloremia (Flaiban, 2010;Junqueira et al, 2015;Pereira, 2016), e isso deve ser entendido como o efeito iatrogênico primário mais importante.
