Efektivitas Metode Scaffolding Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Komputasi Siswa Smp Pada Materi Perbandingan

Show more

“…There are still many students who are not yet optimal in computational thinking according to the results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) test in 2018 which states that Indonesian students' abilities are ranked 73rd out of 79 participating countries. The results of the survey analysis of PISA test scores in the field of science explain that 52% of Indonesian students are still in the low level competency group (Lestari & Roesdiana, 2023;Marchelin et al, 2022). Students are only able to recognize or differentiate explanations of simple scientific phenomena, differentiate simple cause and effect relationships and interpret graphic and visual data which only requires low level cognitive abilities.…”

“…This includes teachers presenting material, giving examples, practicing questions, and checking students' answers. As a result, it makes students less interested in developing computational thinking skills, which has an impact on students' computational thinking skills, as a result in which students' computational thinking skills become low (Marchelin et al, 2022;Supiarmo et al, 2021). This is also based on the trial of research questions conducted by researchers by providing tests in the form of 1 computational thinking problem, as in Figure 1 below.…”
