“…CHC of on-site and referral groups in this study were 88.16 and 82.33 percent. Saayman et al 2013 from South Africa reported that there was no difference in the up-or downgrading of cervical dysplasia between early (<6 months) and late (>6 months) colposcopic referral groups (Saayman et al, 2013). This report explained why our TC showed no fluctuation in the correlation between Pap smears and cervical histopathology.…”

“…Regarding the method of cytology, 9 articles used a conventional cytology technique [12, 13, 16, 18, 21-25], 3 used LBC exclusively [15, 26, 27], while 1 used conventional cytology at the beginning of the study (2000–2002) and applied LBC afterwards (2002–2010) [18]. The remaining 15 articles did not clearly describe the method of cytology [5, 9-11, 14, 17, 19, 20, 28-34].…”

“…Treatment is consequently postponed to ameliorate patient anxiety and fear. [45][46][47] Fakokunde et al 48 observed that women who underwent colposcopies after 6 months exhibited less of a tendency to obtain treatment or to develop high-grade lesions compared with a group of women who were examined earlier. The time that elapses between cytological sampling and colposcopy examination varies; however, Pap tests for high-grade lesions are given high priority.…”

“…The ratio between relative light units and a cutoff is calculated by the careHPV system, and samples are considered positive for hr-HPV when this ratio is >1.0. This method can detect 14 types of hr-HPV (types 16,18,31,33,35,39,45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, and 68), and >90 specimens can be processed within 2.5 hours. 12,13,19 …”
