Effect of alcohol tincture of Aralia elata on the organism of rats and their gut microbiota against the background of excessive fat diet

Abstract: Pharmacological effects of the medicinal plant Aralia elata (Miq.) Seem. 1868 (Araliaceae) are related to presence of over 150 secondary metabolites, including flavonoids, sterols, polysaccharides, terpenoid saponins and terpenoid acids, though the main biologically active substances of A. elata are saponins and flavonoids. Some clinical tests and experimental studies have proved the influence of A. elata on the organism through increase in physical work capacity, exerting an anti-stress effect against a broad… Show more

“…Addition of succinic acid to such diet also had no effect on the intensity of weight gain of animals compared to the control, as well as the normal parameters for this species and age of animal. Increase in the body weight of animals was seen during excess of carbohydrates (fructose) in their diet, while high-fat diet had no effect on the weight gain in the animals (Ozkan & Yakan, 2019;Brygadyrenko et al, 2019). An important indicator of the influence of different substances on the organisms of human and animals, especially against the background of the metabolic processes, is the absolute and relative mass of the organs.…”

“…The erythrocytes and leukocytes in stabilized blood were counted using automated BC-2800Vet analyzer (Mindray, China). For the leukogam, we prepared blood smears according to Pappenheim with subsequent Romanovsky-Giemsa staining. The numbers of erythrocytes and leukocytes in stabilized blood of mice were determined using automatic haematological analyzer BC-2800Vet and Mindray (Lieshchova et al, 2018(Lieshchova et al, , 2019(Lieshchova et al, , 2020Brygadyrenko et al, 2019).…”
