Abstract:Rotors have wide applications in several aerospace and industrial heavy-duty systems. In most of these applications, the rotating system reaches its steady state operational speed after the passage through at least one of its critical rotational speeds. In real-life applications, the probable appearance of a residual slight unbalance in the system could cause an elevation in vibration amplitudes at the critical rotational speeds. Accordingly, propagation of cracks in rotating shafts usually influences the leve… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
