Effect of Atmospheric Pressure on Reichert-Meissl and Polenske Values of Butterfat

Abstract: Three samples of butter were tested at four atmospheric pressures to determine the effect of pressure on the Reichert- Meissl and Polenske values. The effect is not of great significance. In view of improved methods for determining the adulteration of butter with vegetable oil, it is recommended that the study be dropped.
