Abstract:The YBCO superconductor was synthesized with BaF 2. The synthesis temperature of the specimen with BaF 2 was to be considerably lower than that for the unused one. The BaF 2 decomposes during the heat treatment, and does not influence the structure and critical temperature. The critical current density, Jc, in the specimen is lxl0 s A/m 2 at 77 K and 0.5 T. However, Jc is actually lower for the QMG specimen because the Y2BaCuO 5 particles are larger than those of the QMG specimen.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
