“…This fact represents the positive influence of an increase in the NexBTL percentage in order to reduce the NO x concentration in the exhaust gas. The decreased NO x concentration could be influenced by a higher cetane number (Figure 4 or Appendix A) and a changed chemical composition [55,56]. Furthermore, these factors changed the parameters and characteristics of the combustion process.…”

“…It is miscible in diesel at all proportions and is favored as a blending constituent of automotive fuel due to its very high cetane value and high lubricity [7]. It can be obtained as fatty acid alkyl esters employing transesterification of cheap resources viz oils and fat with alcohols (ethanol/methanol) or alkoxides and homogeneous or heterogeneous catalyst with the production of glycerol as a by-product [8]. Vegetable oil is commonly obtained from oil crops such as coconut, sunflower, canola, palm, mustard, soybean, flax, rapeseed, jatropha, hemp, and rice bran, etc.…”

“…The development of technologies will allow for the use of biofuels in engines, minimizing the associated negative points. There are already several works evaluating the efficiency of additives for biofuels of different composition, improving the stability of the additive fuel, and generating better energy efficiencies and emission levels. , …”
