Effect of Black Paste on the Property of Fluorine Resin/Aluminum Infrared Coating

Abstract: A fluorine resin/aluminum infrared coating was prepared with aluminum using black paste as filler and fluorine resin as binder. The effect of the black paste content on the performance of gloss, color difference, infrared emissivity, hardness, adhesion, impact resistance, roughness, optical testing, and corrosion resistance of the fluorine resin/aluminum infrared coating were examined. When the content of black paste was increased from 1.0% to 9.0%, the gloss of the coating surface decreased; the ΔE* value of … Show more

“…Al powder concentration was too low which would lead to higher emissivity of coatings. Due to the strong reflectivity and gloss of Al powder, high concentration of Al powder will lead to higher gloss of coatings, which is not conducive to compatibility with visible light [31]. Therefore, 30.0% of Al powder was selected for comprehensive performance, and the concentration of Al powder was fixed to 30.0% in the following independent experiments.…”

“…Infrared coating is required to have the following properties at the same time: low emissivity, environmental protection, good corrosion resistance, low gloss, so as to have a good effect on visible light compatibility. Fluorine resin is environmentally acceptable, not only has the high surface hardness, good adhesion, and corrosion resistance [7,8], but also can increase the water contact angle of the coating to achieve superhydrophobic properties [9][10][11].…”

“…Resin and pigment are the two main ingredients of paints. Many recent studies attempted to explore the individual impact of resin [8][9] or pigment [10][11][12][13][14]. These two ingredients can also be considered together to determine the performance of coatings [15][16][17].…”
