“…Reproducible dose-response curves were obtained and the LC50 determined was 252.3 µg L -1 . Previous studies have reported the toxicity of Cd to D. magna under different medium and culturing conditions than those mentioned in the current publication (Bodar et al 1988, Ferreira et al 2008, Qu et al 2013). These studies showed a decrease in survival of D. magna at concentrations up to 300 µg L -1 in good agreement with the values measured herein.…”
