Effect of Ceramic Waste and Lime in Road Sub-Base Layer

Abstract:In this work, ceramic waste (CW), lime, and cement were used for the road sub-base layer. This new approach can eliminate the hazards related to inadvisable industrial waste disposal. To this end, various amounts of CW and hydraulic binder ranged from 5% to 15% and 2 to 6%, respectively. The addition of 5, 10, and 15% CW to the soil improves the physical and mechanical parameters of the soil.
