Effect of chainring ovality on joint power during cycling at different workloads and cadences

Abstract: Non-circular chainrings theoretically enhance cycling performance by increasing effective chainring diameter and varying crank velocity, but research has failed to consistently reproduce the benefits in cycling trials.
