Effect of colistin sulfate in the health status and bacteriological gut flora in store pigs with nonspecific gastroenteritis

Abstract: Piglets with the nonspecific gastroenteritis received Colistin 12000000 with drinking water for 5 days is the doses 0.6 g/100 kg in Group 1 and 0.8 g/100 kg in Group 2. This provided the complete therapeutic efficacy (the clinical recovery) on Day 4 in both treatment groups. The dynamics of the erythrocytes and leukocytes suggested the recovery of the morphofunctional homeostasis after the disease in both treatment groups.
