Effect of Contact Configuration on the Tribological Performance of Micro-Textured AISI 1045 Steel under Oscillating Conditions

Abstract: The tribological performance of micro-textured AISI 1045 steel was investigated by an oscillating test. This study compared two contact schemes: (1) ball-on-disk and (2) line contact configuration. Texturing fractions of 5, 10, 15, and 20% were used.
