Effect of Cryogenic Cooling on Cutting Surface Integrity and Surface Functional Properties of 6061 Aluminum Alloy

Abstract: With the increasing environmental requirements in machining techniques, cryogenic machining technology gains more and more attention recently. We have carried out cryogenic cutting tests on 6061 aluminum alloy in this study. The effects of cryogenic cooling on machined surface roughness, surface hardness and surface functional properties were studied.
