Abstract:Metallic Ag nanoparticles deposited on BiVO4promote the separation of photo-induced electron/hole pairs for the generation of reactive oxygen species, leading to excellent photocatalytic disinfection activity under both visible light and natural sunlight.
“…6b. It illustrates that the V ions are V 5+ in all the samples [30,31]. For BVO-1, the V2p peaks shift about 0.4 eV towards higher binding energies compared with that of BVO-0.…”

“…BiVO 4 sample with dominant exposed (0 4 0) facets was synthesized by a previously reported method [22][23][24]. Typically, the precursors of Bi(NO 3 ) 3 ·5H 2 O (6 mmol) was dissolved in HNO 3 (1 mol L −1 , 32 mL) aqueous solution under ultrasonic processing until a clear solution was formed.…”
“…De-ionized water (18.25 MU cm) from Millipore system was used throughout all the experiments. BiVO 4 was fabricated by a previously reported method with minor modifications (Booshehri et al, 2014). In a typical synthesis procedure: 6 mmol of Bi(NO 3 ) 3 $H 2 O was dissolved in 32 mL of HNO 3 (1 M).…”
